The literature is mostly fan-written. If there's a lack of homosexual content in it, well....you can garner what you will from that.
But if you believe that HOMOSEXUAL literature would benefit the homosexual community, feel free to say homosexual all you like. Homosexual. Homosexual? None of that got filtered - its not used in a derogatory fashion.
Poo isn't filtered out either. But if I try saying sh*t, it would get bleeped out. Same thing. The forums are rated PG-13, and when words are deemed inappropriate for a certain audience, they get bleeped out. Want to petition / rally support for something useful?
How about the name of a male rooster? A*****? See? Filtered out. This is a space game, and we can't even say*****pit. That is, ****pit.
*EDIT* ****pit gets filtered out now too. c.o.ckpit.

I'm not sure why ******* is filtered, or why *** or ***** is filtered, frankly, I think ***** is ****** about **** what *** ********* can ****** pretty much think ******** about ***** ******** *** ********* and *******.
Now, just imagine if ******* were the ***** of ****** you ***** *******.

Because your sexual choices are not the concern of this forum community, and CCP makes this very clear by making it difficult for you to convey said choices to others of like or unlike mind. These forums are rated T for teen, and there is nothing teen about sex; preference, position or otherwise.

Hollis, understand that these forums are rated PG-13. Sexual content is inappropriate for the age group deemed to be reading and accessing these forums. There is nothing overtly sexual in any Eve content; exotic dancers are an item in game; as are slaves. Both serve a role playing purpose. If you feel that you're lacking roleplaying ability, use some slaves.
CCP has catered to you on this one - there's no female slaves.
Honestly though, certain things don't really belong in the Eve forums; generally speaking: Politics, religion, sex, and drug use.

Sexual preference is genetic right? In the far distant future that is Eve, I presume that they've perfected genetic engineering. Which is why there are none.

I find this to be extremely disturbing. You can say every curse word and it's not asterisked out. You can use racial slurs and stereotypical terms and your not asterisked out.

Thats the internet community for you. Sadly MMO's (even Eve) are dominated by young males, who overwhelmingly feel the need to shout about how straight/white/normal they are, and take any statement of difference as a direct challenge to their own beliefs.
Actually you're wrong. The internet is a great place for being anonymous (no pun intended there regarding recent Fox News stories). What gets most people is that minority groups create this victim status for themselves which make others feel guilty and apologetic around them. That's where the minority groups' self consciousness arises from. If they'd have more courage and say; "To hell with it, I'm different regardless of what you think" then I could live with that and respect them. It's when they come across as victims of society with a "Woe is me, I can't help myself" attitude that I take offence.
That's my biggest gripe with *** people to be honest. I don't really care about their sexuality. I care when they try and make me feel guilty for not caring about it; like the OP did, hence why I replied somewhat vehemently earlier.
